When a young mermaid is finally allowed her first glimpse of life beyond the ocean, she is enthralled by what she sees and dreams of what her life would be like on land. Falling in love with a mortal Prince she saved from drowning in a shipwreck, she leaves her magical underwater world behind, making a terrible deal with the sea witch in losing her voice and enduring immense pain to make the ultimate sacrifice for love.

Taking a well known story and creating an original ballet using various scores and compositions, follow Colorado West Performing Arts Company on their rendition of Little Mermaid. Utilizing green screen effects and digital animation, this ballet includes humor, adventure, love and of course a happy ending.
